AvL Technologies, Inc. is a company. In 1994, a company was started to make a small arm to move a dish antenna made of special materials for a communications company. Jim Oliver is the person who started AvL Technology.In 1967, he began making machines that move antennas for satellites at a company called Lockheed Missiles and Space. He began working with earth station antennas in 1979 when he managed a team of engineers at Scientific-Atlanta. They made antennas ranging from 3 meters to 11 meters in size, which mostly made up the company’s first earth station antenna products.
